Application Process

Please note that WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THIS PROGRAM YEAR.

Trucking firms/owner-operators wishing to participate in the Manitoba GrEEEn Trucking Program (the "Program") must complete the following application form and return the completed form to the University of Manitoba Transport Institute (“UMTI”) via mail, fax, or email. In addition to the application form copies of the following items will need to be submitted:

  • valid Manitoba driver's licence (owner-operators only)
  • valid vehicle registration (candidate units)
  • proof of vehicle ownership (owner-operators only)

UMTI will notify applicants via e-mail, within 30 days after the submission of applications if they have been selected for the Program. Applicants will be required to submit a completed Request for Payment form (available online) along with copies of the following documentation to UMTI:

  • invoices/receipts for the equipment purchased
  • certification that the equipment has been installed
  • baseline information for each tractor/trailer unit entered in the program (form available online)

Other subsequent quarterly data reporting requirements will also be submitted to UMTI.

Applications will be accepted until December 16, 2011 with Request for Payment information to be submitted within 45 days of being accepted in to the program. Eligible technologies that were purchased and installed after April 1, 2011 will be considered during this application period. Because the GrEEEn Trucking Program is a limited program, funding may be insufficient to meet demand. Rebates will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Application information/request for payment and data reporting requirements are to be submitted to:
